Technology adoptions under TAP rose from about 200 in 2013 to over 1,200 in 2014. The programme, designed to help businesses enhance productivity through technology, has attracted small and medium enterprises like fashion retailer, Moirai in Great World City. The eight-month old fashion retailer uses Virtual Try-On, a digital mirror created by A*STAR that projects different clothing items onto customers.
"(Virtual Try-On) creates an interest, creates an awareness, engages the customer. It does lead them to see different designs and does lead them to buy more of our products and that's how we do have more sales and we make more profits," said Anita Gandhi, Chief Executive of Moirai.
